Maasai elerai January EN
We are flying again and this time to Tanzania, I was surprised how the prices for the boat and the ticket from Zanzibar to Daressalam are basically the same ... we spend two days in StoneTown, I only take a backpack and go to the village for 6 days.
So the plane, Dar, by taxi to the bus, by bus for about 5-6 and 7 hours and again by taxi, which does not solve how many people can sit in one car, but just how many can fit, should you drive on the roof ..
and then by motorbike from Kiberashi to the village.
We wouldn't have put it ourselves for the first time, so our great friend Diego - Masai went with us, thanks to him we felt safe and there was no problem with anything.
So we went to live 6 days without a normal shower, toilet and sleep and just live in the woods
Diego's Maasai mother welcomed us with great love and so did the children. From the first moment, I immediately felt natural and terribly nice.
Classically, we had spanking legs out of the way - as we like to say ... so my mother took some special leaves and hot water and immediately treated us.
The children kissed and twitched their hair for 6 days. Donkeys, chickens, goats and cows everywhere ..so are mice here. But definitely not a mosquito.
Washing from a bucket is actually quite gentle in terms of water and you can do the same ..
Every day ugali, or rice, milk and tea.
A toilet in the forest, where I once met a turtle while peeing ..
Kids everywhere, just about everywhere and are incredibly obedient and kind ..
I could write for hours about a Maasai mother, but two words are enough - love and wisdom.
We left and we didn't want to, we enjoyed it as much as we could!
PS: I brought a mouse in my backpack on the way back ... yes, a mouse. She traveled by motorcycle, bus, taxi and even plane back to Zanzibar.
She ate a pair of panties and T-shirts for me, and then she didn't survive the poor confrontation. R.I.P.
